Cards Add Two More Pieces to the 2026 Roster

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville football program continued to add transfers to its 2026 Signing Class with the addition of quarterback Davin Wydner of West Georgia and punter Jacob Baker of Eastern Kentucky.
A 6-foot-5 signal caller, Wydner transfers to Louisville after two seasons at West Georgia and a pair of redshirt seasons at Mississippi.
In his two seasons at West Georgia, Wydner passed for 3,385 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Last season, Wydner threw for 1,667 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games. He completed 26-of-34 passes for a season best 274 yards against North Alabama and added 263 yards and three scores against East Tennessee State.
The native of Clinton, N.J., played in all 11 games, making eight starts in 2024. He completed 62 percent of his passes with just one interception while passing for 1,718 yards and nine touchdowns. He also rushed 66 times for 249 yards, adding seven touchdowns which led the UAC in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback. He opened his UWG career with a 271-yard performance against Samford, passing two touchdowns and rushing for one and threw for a season-high of 388 yards on 33 completions against Austin.
One of the top punters at the FCS level, Baker averaged 43.0 yards a punt in 2025, with 16 punts of 50 or more yards and placed 15 inside the opposition's 20-yard line. His 43.0-yard average ranked 26th nationally and was third in the United Athletic Conference.
A first team All-UAC selection in 2024, Baker was the top punter in the conference, averaging of 43.7 yards per punts with 17 punts of 50-yards or longer (most in the UAC) while also having a long of 65-yards. Along with his power, Baker showed precision with 24 punts downed inside the 20, the most in the UAC.
