Cards Set for Three-Match Weekend

Louisville will start at home against Cornell before going on the road to face Northwestern and Chicago State
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- After a successful doubleheader at home to open the season, the University of Louisville men's tennis team will welcome Cornell for a home match before traveling to Illinois for a doubleheader against Northwestern and Chicago State.
The Cards will face Cornell on Friday with first serve set for 5 p.m. ET. On Sunday, the match against Northwestern will start at 1 p.m. ET followed by a trip down the road to face Chicago State at 6 p.m. ET to conclude the Sunday doubleheader.
Louisville (2-0, 0-0 ACC) started its season with two 4-0 victories on Wednesday in their doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky. The Cards swept both matches and now move on to three matches this weekend. Junior Walid Ahouda was the standout player of the day for the Cards, securing two singles victories and one doubles victory.Â
In its latest polls, the ITA ranked Cardinals players Ahouda and Hamza El Amine in singles at No. 68 and No. 122, respectively. The two juniors are also ranked as doubles pair at No. 58 alongside Andre' Steinbach and Matei Onofrei who entered the polls at No. 21.
