LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Wide receivers Lawayne McCoy and Jackson Voth have signed with the University of Louisville, UofL head coach Jeff Brohm said on Thursday.
McCoy spent two seasons at Florida State, totaling 33 receptions for 448 yards and three touchdowns. The 2025 campaign saw him catch 27 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns. He became fourth player in FSU history - joining Barry Smith (1970), Andre Cooper (1995) and Peter Warrick (1998) - with a receiving touchdown against Miami, Clemson, and Florida in the same season. In a loss to Florida, McCoy set career-highs with six catches for 110 yards and added 17-yard touchdown catch vs. Gators.
As a freshman in 2024, McCoy played in Florida State's final 10 games, catching six passes for 52 yards, and returned 10 punts for 30 yards.
Coming out of high school, McCoy was a four-star prospect and was tabbed as the No. 6 athlete in Class of 2024 and the No. 18 overall prospect in Florida by 247Sports. He caught 27 passes for 616 yards and seven touchdowns in senior season as Miami Central advanced to regional final of 2M state playoffs.
Voth transferred to Louisville after leading Drake to the FCS playoffs earning an automatic bid by winning the Pioneer Football League Conference Championship. The Bulldogs were eliminated in the postseason with a 38-17 loss at South Dakota.
A 5-foot-11, 190-pound wideout, Voth earned All-PFL honors after leading the Bulldogs with 51 receptions for 600 yards and five touchdowns. The native of Chaney, Kan., recorded four games of five or more receptions, including a career high 10 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown in the FCS playoff loss. He registered his first 100-yard receiving game with eight catches for 106 yards and two scores against Davidson.
Before his lone season at Drake, Voth redshirted one season at Kansas State after helping guide Cheney High School to an unblemished 13-0 record and the schools' first state title as a senior. He was named to Top 11 teams for Sports in Kansas, Kansas Football Coaches Association, and earned the Kansas 3A Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2023.
