Louisville is the only remaining ACC team with a perfect record.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team (4-0-0) looks to continue its undefeated start to the 2025 season when it travels to face Ohio State (2-2-0) on Tuesday evening at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on B1G+ as the Cardinals aim to build on one of their strongest opening stretches in recent years.
Louisville enters the match with momentum following a statement 1-0 victory over No. 1 Stanford, marking the program's first win over the nation's top-ranked team since 2021. The Cardinals have also recorded shutout victories over IU Indianapolis, UAB, and Southern Indiana, opening the season with four consecutive clean sheets for the first time since 1998.
Ohio State comes in at 2-2 overall after suffering its first home loss since 2023 in a setback to No. 11 Akron. The Buckeyes are coming off a 2024 season in which they captured the Big Ten Tournament title, earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, and advanced to the College Cup semifinals. They return a talented roster highlighted by Hermann Trophy winner Michael Adedokun, one of the nation's top midfielders.
The series history between the two programs has been tightly contested, with nine wins for Ohio State, eight for Louisville, and five draws. The last meeting came in 2023 at Lynn Stadium, where the teams battled to a 2-2 draw after the Buckeyes rallied late. Tuesday's contest will mark Louisville's first trip to Columbus since 2018, and the Cardinals will look to flip the narrative on the road.
