LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's soccer team returns to Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium on Friday evening to host IU Indianapolis in its third match of the 2025 season. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ACCNX.
The Cardinals enter the matchup with a 2-0-0 record following a pair of shutout victories to open the season. Louisville began the year with a 6-0 victory over Southern Indiana, the program's largest season-opening win since 1980, while also setting a school record with nine assists in the contest. The Cards followed up with a 1-0 road win at UAB, securing their second clean sheet of the 2025 campaign.
Through two matches, Louisville has shown balance on both ends of the field. Offensively, ten different players have recorded either a goal or an assist. Freshman Nicholas Parham tallied a goal and two assists in the opener, while senior Filip Fredhall, sophomore Leon Kondic, forward Chase Vazquez, junior Ryan Quintos, and forward Michael Lee have also contributed to the scoring attack. Lee netted the game-winner against UAB, finishing off a pass from Chase Vazquez in the ninth minute.
Defensively, the Cardinals have yet to allow a goal this season. Goalkeeper Alex Svetanoff has anchored the back line with a clean sheet against UAB, while defenders Ola Ogunleye and Noah De Blasis have helped limit opponents to just one shot on target across two contests.
