Brown Named Second Team All-American by Athlon's; Eight Players Named to the All-ACC Squad

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville running back Isaac Brown was named a second team All-American by Athlon Sports, and eight others were named to the Atlantic Coast Conference squad.
Brown proved to be one of the nation's up-and-coming running backs in the nation last season, rushing for 1,173 yards and 11 touchdowns as a true freshman. The Homestead, Fla., native became the first true freshman to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season and finished in the top 20 nationally by averaging a solid 7.1 yards per carry.
A first team All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer, Brown was also tabbed the ACC's Rookie and Offensive Rookie of the Year. Brown recorded five 100-yard rushing games, including a season best 178 yards in the regular season finale versus Kentucky.
Brown was also named first team All-ACC by Athlon's and was joined by wide receivers Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy and center Pete Nygra. Bell caught 43 passes for 737 yards and four touchdowns in 2024, and Lacy caught 11 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown. Nygra was one of two UofL lineman to start all 13 games last season.
Linebacker Stanquan Clark was named to the second team, while running back Duke Watson was a third-team selection. Clark was second on the team with 76 tackles, while Watson recorded 678 yards rushing during his freshman season.
Defensive lineman Clev Lubin and T.J. Quinn were honored on the fourth team. Lubin recorded 44 tackles and 9.5 sacks at Coastal Carolina and Quinn led the team in tackles for the second-straight season with 86.
The Cards open the 2025 season at home against Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 30 at 3 p.m.
