LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 25/RV Louisville women's basketball team (20-8, 13-4 ACC) is back on the road for the final time to close out the regular season this weekend. The Cardinals are heading north for their second matchup against No. 3/4 Notre Dame (24-4, 15-2 ACC) this Sunday. College GameDay is in South Bend and will air at 11 a.m. ET before the Cardinals and Fighting Irish square off at Noon on ESPN.
Louisville is coming off its largest margin of victory in ACC play this season in the 78-52 win over Clemson on senior night this past Thursday. The Cardinals limited the Tigers to just 26 points in the second half as they picked up their 20th win of the season and 13th ACC win. It is the 15th-straight season the Cardinals have won 20 or more games, the fifth longest active streak in the country. The 13 ACC wins are the most in a season for the Cards since the 2021-22 season.
The Cardinals won the rebounding battle 42-30 over the Tigers on Thursday night. It was the 10th time this season the Cards have had 40 or more rebounds in a game and the third time in the last four games. Olivia Cochran tallied her second-straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Clemson. She leads the team with five double-doubles this season.
Cochran was not the only one to record a double-double against the Tigers. Jayda Curry tallied her first double-double with the Cardinals and the second of her career after she scored 15 points and tied a career high with 10 rebounds in the win. Curry has been red hot lately, averaging 18.6 points and 5.0 rebounds over her last five games, three of which have been against ranked opponents. It is the third time this season the Cardinals have had multiple players with a double-double in the same game.
Tajianna Roberts took over the second half against the Tigers as she scored 18 of her game-high 19 points over the final 20 minutes of the game. It was the 10th time this season she has led the Cardinals in scoring and the 23rd game she has scored in double figures.
