Sixteen Cardinals Garner All-ACC Academic Accolades

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2024 All-ACC Academic Football Team on Friday; featuring 16 honorees from the University of Louisville.
Six UofL student-athletes achieved Academic Team status for the third time in their careers, including wide receiver Chris Bell, defensive linemen Ashton Gillotte and Ramon Puryear, offensive lineman Michael Gonzalez, long snapper Shai Kochav, and placekicker Brock Travelstead.
Linebacker Stanquan Clark, offensive lineman Austin Collins, tight end Nate Kurisky, were recognized for the second time, while linebackers Jurriente Davis and Drew Covington, placekicker Nick Keller, defensive tackle Rene Konga, offensive linemen Monroe Mills and Pete Nygra and linebacker T.J. Quinn were honored for the first time.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative averaging during one's academic career. In addition, student athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
The Cardinals finished the season at 9-4, which included a 35-34 win over Washington in the Sun Bowl.
