LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville standout Caullin Lacy has been named a Second Team All-American return specialist by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
Lacy has established himself as one of the nation's premier return specialists this season. He ranks tied for third nationally with an average of 20.0 yards per punt return and is one of only five players in the country to record multiple punt return touchdowns. He also became the first player in school history to return two punts of more than 75 yards for touchdowns in a single season.
In addition to his special teams success, Lacy earned honorable mention recognition as a receiver, hauling in 54 receptions for 547 yards and two touchdowns.
Heading into the Boca Raton Bowl, Lacy needs just 69 yards to break Louisville's single-season record for punt return yards. The Mobile, Ala., native has already totaled 440 yards on returns this year.
The Cardinals will face Toledo in the Boca Raton Bowl on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET, with the game broadcast live on ESPN.
