No. 23/22 Cardinals Sweep MTE with 100-37 Win Over Bellarmine

All 12 players scored for the Cards on Sunday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 23/22 Louisville women's basketball team (7-2, 1-0 ACC) completed the sweep of the Louisville MTE with a 100-37 win over Bellarmine (2-7) on Sunday afternoon at the KFC Yum! Center. It was the Cardinals seventh win in their last eight games as all 12 players scored for the Cards on Sunday.
The Cardinals had their offense and defense playing well all weekend. On the offensive end, they scored 85 or more points in all three games. On the defensive end, they allowed 50 or less points in all three games. In two of the games, the Cardinals' opponents did not score 40 points.
On Sunday against the Knights, Louisville scored 100 points for the first time this season and the first time since November 21, 2024 against Morehead State. The Cards tallied a season-high 58 rebounds, their most in a game since November 29, 2020 against Eastern Kentucky.
Louisville had four players in double figures, led by Imari Berry with 14 points. She was 5-for-7 from the field, 2-for-4 from three and had five rebounds and tied for the team lead with four assists. Reyna Scott had 13 points on 5-for-8 shooting and 3-for-4 from behind the arc to go with four rebounds and team-best four assists. Anaya Hardy led the way with 10 rebounds, her third game this season with double-digit boards.
As they have done all weekend, the Cards ran out to a fast start in the first quarter. The Cardinals shot 12-for-21 (57.1%) and had eight assists on their 12 baskets. The defense was also on point as they limited the Knights to six points on 2-for-19 (10.5%) shooting. After one, Louisville held a 30-6 lead. The six points were the fewest points allowed in the first quarter for the Cards this season.
Louisville didn't slow down in the second quarter as the Cards scored 18 of the first 19 points. Nine different players scored for the Cards as we hit the halfway point in the second. The Cards shot 11-for-22 (50%) in the second and held the Knights to 2-for-17 (11.8%) shooting to take a 58-13 lead into the half. The 13 points were the fewest the Cards have allowed in the opening half this season.
The Cards got valuable minutes from the bench in the second half as they were playing their third game in as many days. Nine players saw 15 minutes or more of action and all 12 players played at least 10 minutes.
Rebekah Graves tallied a season-high 10 points in her 12 minutes of action. Graves scored all 10 of her points and was 4-for-6 from the field in the fourth quarter. Yevheniia Putra tallied a season-high eight points while Peyton Bradley also had a season-high eight points. Louisville had 68 points from its bench, the most in a game since Morehead State last season.
The Cardinals stay at home this week as the ACC/SEC Challenge is on deck on Thursday. Louisville will welcome No. 2 South Carolina to the Yum! Center on Thursday, December 4 for a Stripe Out. Fans in even sections are encouraged to wear white and while fans in odd sections are to wear black to complete the Stripe Out look. The Cardinals and Gamecocks will square off at 7 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
