Women’s Golf Travels to Pirate Collegiate Classic

This is the second to last tournament of the fall season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back in action as they head out for another tournament this week. The Cardinals are heading south to Greenville, N.C. for the Pirate Collegiate Classic. The two-day tournament begins on Monday, October 5 and the Cardinals are one of 15 teams competing this week.
The Cardinals lineup for the tournament is Bailey Burkett, Veronika Exposito, Millie Cottrell, Madison Moman and Emree Cameron. Burkett, Exposito, Cottrell and Moman have competed in all three of the Cardinals tournaments this fall. Cameron is making her first collegiate appearance this week at the Pirate Collegiate Classic.
In the most recent tournament for the Cards, they finished fifth overall at the Blessings Collegiate down in Arkansas. Burkett led the Cards for the second-straight tournament at the Blessings as she finished tied for 13th overall. It was Burkett's second Top 15 finish of the fall as she finished tied for 13th at the Mason Rudolph Championship.
Cottrell had her best finish of the fall at the Blessings when she tied for 21st overall. She had her best round of the tournament in the final round with a 3-over-72, which led the team that day. Exposito finished 20th overall for her second Top 20 finish of the fall at the Blessings.
The Pirate Collegiate begins on Monday with 36 holes for the first and second round of the tournament. Louisville begins the first round at 9:15 a.m. ET with tee times from Hole No. 1.
