Walz to Present at 18th International Basketball Coaches Seminar in Türkiye

The seminar will be attended by over 850 coaches in Istanbul
ISTANBUL — University of Louisville women's basketball head coach Jeff Walz is in Europe this weekend as he is one of the presenters at the 18th International Basketball Coaches Clinic. The two-day seminar, organized by the Turkish Basketball Federation since 2005, begins on June 29 and will be attended by more than 850 coaches in person at the Basketball Development Center National Teams Hall in Istanbul.
Walz is one of six speakers presenting over the two days and the speakers include Ergin Ataman (Head coach of the Turkish Men's National Team), Erdem Can (Head coach of Turk Telekom BC), Sergio Lara-Bercial (Head coach of Manchester Magic U18), Dave Severns (Former Director of Player Development for the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers) and Radovan Trifunovic (Former head coach of the Slovenia National Team). The seminar is run in cooperation with FIBA, WABC (World Association of Basketball Coaches) and TÜBAD (Turkish Basketball Coaches Association).
Walz has won five gold medals on the international circuit, his most recent with the Louisville Cardinals this past July at the 2023 GLOBL JAM Tournament in Toronto. Prior to last summer, he won four gold medals with USA Basketball as the head coach of the 2019 Women's U19 National Team in Bangkok and the 2018 U18 team in Mexico City. Walz was on the staff for the 2014 Women's U-18 National Team and worked as an assistant for the 2014 Women's U-19 World Championship Team and both squads earned gold medals.
