No. 15 Cardinals Head North for Rematch with No. 23 Syracuse

This will be the fourth-straight ranked matchups for the Cardinals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 15 Louisville women's basketball team (20-4, 9-2 ACC) is off on the road again and will face a familiar opponent this coming Sunday. Just 10 days after playing them the first time this season, the Cardinals head to Syracuse to take on the 23rd-ranked Orange (19-4, 9-3 ACC) in the second of their two meetings during the regular season. The Cardinals and Orange will square off from the JMA Wireless Dome at 12 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast nationally on The CW.
This will be the fourth-straight ranked opponent the Cardinals will face in a stretch that started with the first matchup between the Cardinals and Orange back on Feb. 1. Including next Sunday's home matchup with No. 16/18 Virginia Tech, the Cardinals will face five opponents in a six-game span. So far this season, the Cardinals are 6-3 against teams that have been ranked or are currently ranked in the Top-25. In the four-game stretch, the Cardinals are 2-1 after wins over Syracuse and No. 12/14 Notre Dame.
Nyla Harris had another strong game against an ACC opponent in the recent win over Notre Dame on Feb. 8. She scored a career-high 19 points on 9-for-11 shooting to go with 10 rebounds. It was her fourth double-double of the season, which is tops on the team this season. Harris played well in the first matchup between the Cardinals and Orange on Feb. 1. She set a career high with 14 rebounds and tied a then career high with 18 points. The 14 rebounds were the most by a Louisville player in a game this season.
In ACC games this season, the Cardinals have been one of the strongest teams on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. They lead the league with a +12.3 scoring margin in conference games this season and are the only team to be Top-3 in scoring offense (3rd, 75.5) and scoring defense (3rd, 63.2) in ACC games this season. The Cardinals have been the best team in the ACC in field goal percentage during conference games. Louisville has shot 48.2 percent from the floor and the second-best team in the league (Duke) is shooting just 46.0 percent.

Four Cards scored in double figures this evening, highlighted by Nyla Harris' career-high tying 18 points. Harris also pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds, marking her third double-double this season, which leads the team. Louisville held Syracuse to under 70 points for just the third time this season. The Cards also outrebounded the Orange 41-36 and outscored them 36-22 in the paint.
