Cards Hit the Road to Face Kentucky in Fall Play

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville will continue fall action this week when the Cardinals head to Lexington to take on in-state rival Kentucky Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Cardinal Quick Hits:
•Louisville was last in action on Friday when they split a home doubleheader with Indiana. The Cardinals took the opening game 5-4 with the Hoosiers prevailing 5-1 in the nightcap.
•The 2024-25 UofL squad will take the field with a roster that features 13 returners, including 2023 All-ACC selections Easton Lotus and Alyssa Zabala. Additionally, Louisville welcomes nine newcomers including seven freshmen and two transfers.
•The Cards finished the 2024 season with a 27-25 overall record and 8-16 mark against ACC opponents.Â
Scouting the Wildcats:
Kentucky is coming off of 2024 campaign in which the Wildcats posted a 31-24 overall record and earned their 15th straight NCAA tournament appearance, going 1-2 in the Stillwater Regional.

Following Thursday's contest, the Cardinals will conclude the fall season on Oct. 26 when Middle Tennessee visits Ulmer Stadium for a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
