Louisville Sends 3V8 to Grand Final at ACC Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The University of Louisville Third Varsity Eight Boat has advanced to the Grand Final after a day of preliminary racing at the ACC Rowing Championship Friday (May 12) morning on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C.

The Cards' 3V8 will advance to the grand final Saturday (May 13). Louisville's other three boats will row in the petite final tomorrow as well.

The 3V8 boat finished third in the preliminary heat with a time of 7:11.992, behind Syracuse and Duke.

The V8 boat was fourth across the line in their heat with a time of 6:45.634. The 2V8 boat was also fourth, clocking in at 6:52.035. The Cards' Varsity Four turned in a time of Louisville, 7:51.345 for fifth place.

The ACC Rowing Championship concludes Saturday morning beginning at 8:05 a.m. with the Petite Final of the Third Varsity Eight race. The finals will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra (WatchESPN.com) and the ESPN App.
