Donnet’s quarterfinal finish is the furthest he’s ever advanced in the All-Americans
TULSA, Okla. – UofL Men's Tennis' fifth-year senior captain Etienne Donnet's run at the ITA All-American Championship came to a close on Friday evening with a loss in the quarterfinals.
On Friday morning, Donnet defeated Ronnie Hohmann of Michigan State in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the quarterfinals. Hohmann was No. 37 in the preseason rankings.
Donnet then faced off against Arizona State's Murphy Cassone, the ITA Preseason No. 4. Donnet, who was No. 24 in the rankings, ultimately fell 6-4, 6-2.
The quarterfinal finish is the furthest Donnet has ever advanced in the ITA All-American Championship.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Thursday with the start of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship in Chattanooga, Tenn.
