Cards Play Host to Southern Indiana in Fall Scrimmage Tuesday

Louisville will continue the fall season with a home scrimmage against USI Tuesday at 5 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team will continue its fall season with a scrimmage against the University of Southern Indiana Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium. The event is free and open to the public.

In their most recent action, the Cardinals prevailed over Indiana 5-4 in seven innings of play on Oct. 13. The teams were originally slated to play a doubleheader, but the second game was rained out. In their outing against the Hoosiers, four different players tallied two hits apiece with Bailee Richardson driving in a pair of runs. Additionally, four pitchers saw time in the circle. Â Â Â

The Cardinals will conclude the fall season on Sunday when Miami (Ohio) visits Ulmer Stadium for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

The Cardinals are coming off of a successful 2023 campaign in which they posted a 36-20 overall record and a 16-7 ACC mark in the 2023 season. The 16 ACC wins were also tied for the most in since joining the league in 2015.
