Cardinals finish at Alabama Four-In-The-Fall and start play at ITA All-American Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UofL men's tennis completed its second tournament of the fall season on Sunday at Alabama's Four-In-The-Fall. The Cardinals also had two players compete in pre-qualifying at the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday.

At the Four-In-The-Fall, Louisville picked up two doubles wins and five singles wins with a full travel roster of freshmen.

Evan Duggal logged singles wins on Friday and Saturday, teaming up with Russell Lokko in doubles for a victory on Saturday. Lokko defeated an individual from Tulane in singles on Saturday as well.

Miguel Avendaño won two singles matches of his own, one over Khristian Thomas from Middle Tennessee and one against Benji Jacobson of Tulane.

Will Mayew and Andre Steinbach competed in Pre-Qualifying in the ITA All-American Championships beginning on Saturday. Mayew fell to his opponent from UTSA in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 0-6. Steinbach took his first set to a tiebreaker but lost in the second.

Natan Rodrigues and Etienne Donnet will begin competition in the main draw of the All-Americans on Wednesday.
