Cardinals Finish Final Round at Cougar Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf team finished 17th in the Cougar Classic this week (Sept. 12-13), which took place in Hanahan, S.C. at the Yeamans Hall Golf Course.
Sophomore Carmen Griffiths finished in a tie for 34th overall, shooting 2-over-par 215. In round 3, she carded a 1-over-par 72. Last season, her best tournament score was 2-over-par 218 in the Mason Rudolph Invitational. The Cougar Classic marks her career-best score in 54 rounds.
Gabbi Bentancourt finished in a tie for 64th (9-over-par 222), Mairead Martin tied for 64th (9-over-par 222), Molly Lyne tied for 75th (11-over-par 224), and Carly Haines finished in a tie for 85th (14-over-par 227).
The Cardinals will tee off in their next tournament Sept. 24-26 at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Okla. (Belmar Golf Club).
