Cardinals Finish First Two Rounds at Cougar Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After day one of the Cougar Classic, sophomore Carmen Griffiths finished in a tie for 35th overall. The third and final round will be played tomorrow, Sept. 13.
Griffiths finished round one carding 4-over-par 75. However, she was able to recover by carding 3-under-par 68 later on in the afternoon in round two. After combining both rounds, Griffiths was at 1-over-par 143.
The Cardinals ended the day in 17th at 20-over-par 588. Ole Miss tops the leader board carding 13-under-par 555.
Mairead Martin sits tied for 63rd overall at +5 (74-73), Gabbi Bentancourt is tied for 67th at +6 (73-75), Molly Lyne is tied for 79th at +8 (76-74), and Carly Haines is 92nd at +13 (79-76).
The last round of the tournament begins tomorrow, Sept. 13 at the Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, S.C.
