
Cards Rally to Defeat Notre Dame

No. 25 Louisville improves to 16-7 (8-3 ACC) with the win and the 16 wins are the most in a season since 2018-19 when the team finished with a 16-13 record.
Natan Rodrigues and Sergio Hernandez got the Cardinals off to a strong start in doubles, defeating Peter Conklin and Connor Fu 6-1. Etienne Donnet and Tin Chen upset No. 67 Matthew Halpin and Jean-Marc Malkowski 6-4 to clinch the doubles point for Louisville.
Notre Dame responded by winning the first three singles matches to take a 3-1 advantage. No. 91 Donnet defeated No. 123 Aditya Vashistha 7-5, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot to make the score 3-2 and get the Cardinals back in the match. David Mizrahi rallied against Braeden Ho 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to tie the match at 3-3.
At the No. 4 spot, Hernandez came back to defeat Conklin 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 and clinch the match for Louisville. Hernandez also clinched the Cardinals' previous win against then No. 23 NC State on Apr. 1.
Up next, Louisville wraps up its two-match road trip on Sunday against Boston College at 10 a.m.
