
Caroline Blalock, Ava Coyle Earn All-ACC Honors

Caroline Blalock was named All-ACC Second Team, while Ava Coyle was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that University of Louisville lacrosse graduate midfielder Caroline Blalock was named to the All-ACC Second Team, while freshman Ava Coyle has earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors.
It marks the third time that Blalock has earned All-ACC honors as she was also named to the All-ACC Second Team following her freshman and senior seasons.

Earlier this year, the five-year captain was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and preseason All-ACC.

Blalock leads the Cards in assists (18) and ground balls (34), ranks second in points (54) and caused turnovers (17), and ranks third in goals (36) and draw controls (41). She ranks sixth in the ACC with 2.0 ground balls per game.

With 77 games played in her career, she is tied with her sister Sarah, for the most games played in Louisville program history. She ranks second all-time in Louisville program history with 94 caused turnovers, 161 ground balls and 56 assists.

Coyle has played in all 17 games with 13 starts, recording 15 ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Louisville opens the 2022 ACC Tournament in South Bend, Ind., against Pitt on Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast live on ACC Network.
