TEAM NOTES

Louisville is now 5-19 all-time against Virginia, 4-9 at home.
The Cardinals opened the game on an 8-0 run.
- The 8-point lead marks the largest lead since the Cardinals led by 11 (67-56) vs. Clemson on Feb. 19.
- It is the first time that Louisville has held an opponent scoreless through the first media timeout since No.6 Louisville took an 8-0 lead into the first timeout in an 90-67 win at Boston College on Feb. 4, 2017.
The starting lineup of West, Faulkner, Locke, Williams, and Curry is the 15th different starting combination this season.

Sydney Curry recorded the third double-double of his Louisville career with 24 points and a season-high 14 rebounds, leading the Cardinals in both categories on Saturday. He also recorded double-doubles vs. NC State on Jan. 12 and at Virginia Tech on Mar. 1.
- Saturday marked the third straight game that Curry has led the team in both points and rebounds.
- He has now led the Cardinals in scoring five times this season, including each of the last three games.
- Curry converted on 9-13 (.692) from the field, he has shot over .500 percent from the field with point totals of 28,18, and 24 in each of the last three games.
- Curry went a season-best 6-6 (.1000) from the free throw line, marking a season-high in free throws made and attempts.
- The six offensive rebounds are the most by any Cardinal this season and the most since Samuell Williamson tallied seven vs. Georgia Tech on Feb. 1, 2021.
Malik Williams tallied 10 points and seven rebounds in 34 minutes on the afternoon.
- It marks the 21st game this season with five or more rebounds and the 68th of his career.
Mason Faulkner dished out a team-high seven assists in season-high 31 minutes.
- It marks his 12th game leading the team in assists and 10th with four or more assists.
- The seven assists tied a season-high for Faulkner, which he has recorded twice vs. Furman on Nov.12 and vs. Boston College on Jan. 19. Seven remains the most recorded in a game by any Cardinal this season.
