Cards Set to Open ACC Play in Three-Match Weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team continues its homestand with three matches this weekend at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Louisville will face Clemson at 5 p.m. on Friday to open ACC play and koozies will be given out to fans in attendance. The Cardinals return to their home court on Sunday to play Georgia Tech at 10 a.m. and recently added Tennessee State to the schedule for Sunday at 5 p.m. Donuts and t-shirts will be given out to fans who attend. Admission is free for all three matches.

About the Cardinals

Louisville has entered the latest ITA rankings at No. 45 and is coming off two 4-0 wins this past weekend, defeating Indiana and Xavier.
The match against Clemson on Friday will mark the Cardinals' fourth consecutive match at home.
Louisville is seeking to win its ACC opener at home for the second time in three years.
Sergio Hernandez leads the Cardinals with a 9-0 record in singles.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: Georgia Tech (5-4) is coming off two 7-0 victories over The Citadel on Feb. 27 and will travel to Notre Dame on Friday before facing the Cardinals on Sunday. The Yellow Jackets are led by Andres Martin and Keshav Chopra in singles, who are ranked 12^th and 105^th respectively by the ITA. Martin and Marcus McDaniel are ranked 8^th in doubles for Georgia Tech. Head coach Kenny Thorne is in his 25^th year leading the Yellow Jackets.

Series Record: Series tied 0-0
Last Meeting: This will be the first meeting between the two programs.
Scouting the Tigers: Tennessee State (1-8) is coming off a 5-2 loss to Samford on Feb. 23. The Tigers return four players from last year's team and welcome two newcomers. Head coach Todd Smith is in his first season at the helm for Tennessee State.
