Cardinals Host Ohio State in Spring Exhibition Match

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's soccer program takes to the pitch on Saturday against Ohio State in its first home match of the spring season at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
Saturday's kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET and admission is free.
The Cardinals open up play in the Spring Columbus Cup with the first of two straight matches at home. Louisville is looking to build off a 10-7-1 record in the fall in which it captured the program's first ACC Atlantic Division crown and earned a NCAA Tournament berth for the 13th time in 15 seasons.
"We are very excited to begin our spring exhibition matches," head coach John Michael Hayden said. "Our group has been working extremely hard over the past couple months and is looking forward to welcoming Ohio State to Lynn Stadium on Saturday.
"While always seeking to win games, this 'normal' college spring presents us with the opportunity to try new things, refine tactics and evaluate the depth of our roster. My staff and I are anxious to see the progress we have made."
Ohio State was 6-9-1 during the fall, securing a signature victory over eventual Big Ten Champion Penn State in October.
