CLEMSON, S.C. – The University of Louisville football team ended its win streak at four after coming up short on the road against Clemson, 31-16 on Saturday afternoon.

Clemson took control of the game early after scoring two touchdowns and a field goal in the first half. A rushing touchdown from Tiyon Evans put the Cardinals on the scoreboard heading into the locker room. Two more touchdowns from the Tigers kept the game in Clemson's favor, despite a touchdown from Louisville on the final play of the game.

Before leaving the game due to injury, Malik Cunningham went 10-of-13 for 75 yards passing. Brock Domann, stepping in for Cunningham, threw for 175 yards including a 31-yard touchdown pass to Braden Smith. Domann was 13-of-23 passing and rushed five times.

Tyler Hudson recorded a season-high 163 yards receiving on 11 catches, including a 54-yard pass from Domann, making it the fourth time this season Hudson has recorded over 100 yards receiving.

MoMo Sanogo led the way defensively with 14 tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Yasir Abdullah added six tackles, with a sack and two forced fumbles.

Louisville Head Coach Scott Satterfield Said:
"Congratulations to Clemson. I knew all week after you hear how bad you are, how you didn't show up, you didn't play against Notre Dame. You hear that enough; you're going to come out with your best game. We knew we were going to get their best shot. Their defensive line, I thought played really, really well tonight. It gave us problems up front. Offensively, they brought a lot of pressure tonight with their linebackers as well. You get in their backfield, and we really couldn't get anything going offensively. It sputtered here and there but not a whole lot to get going. I thought our defense played really, really hard tonight and created some turnovers. Even when it didn't look great for us, they were still fighting and getting turnovers. Really proud of them. We didn't tackle great tonight, I thought we missed some tackles on (Will) Shipley and #26 (Phil Mafah). We knew that coming in that was going to be a big thing, we had to tackle well. We didn't do as great as we would like to do. We still had opportunities. In the second half, we still had opportunities and we didn't make the most of it offensively. We are getting banged up a little bit right now and we don't have many receivers. Of course, Malik got beat and banged again. But I'm proud of our guys. That's what I told them in the locker room. I'm really proud of how they continue to fight when things are down and out, they have not given up, and they didn't lay down. They didn't tonight, all the way until the last play where we threw a touchdown pass. I'm proud of them. We've got to regroup and we've got to come back tomorrow to get ready for NC State."

First Quarter
10:17 – CU | DJ Uiagalelei opened the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown run to finish off the opening drive of the game. Clemson went 75 yards in 12 plays and used the first 4:43.

02:25 – CU | B.T. Potter connected on a 19-yard field goal to make it a 10-0 game. The scoring drive lasted 3:10 and went 66 yards in eight plays.

Second Quarter
14:17 – UL | Tiyon Evans got the Cards on the scoreboard with a 16-yard rushing touchdown to finish off a 7-play, 80-yard drive that took 3:05.

00:32 – CU | DJ Uiagalelei found Antonio Williams for a four-yard touchdown just before halftime to finish a 10-play, 80-yard scoring drive.

Third Quarter
10:32 – CU | Will Shipley rushed in from 25 yards out to extend the lead to 24-7. Clemson's drive went 85 yards over eight plays in 2:56.

05:57 – UL | James Turner hit a 22-yard field goal to finish off an 8-play, 70-yard drive that lasted 4:35.

Fourth Quarter
02:13 – CU | Phil Mafah rushed from 39 yards on the first play of the Clemson drive to push the lead to 31-10.

0:00 – UL | Brock Domann threw to Braden Smith for a 31-yard touchdown on the final play of the game.
