SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team wrapped up its first day of play at Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Mini Duals, securing a total of five wins on the day.

Freshman Will Mayew and senior David Mizrahi kept their momentum from the ITA Ohio Valley Regional championships, defeating Notre Dame's Matt Halpin and Braeden Ho 6-3.

Mayew also found success in singles, securing the victory over Halpin 6-4, 6-4. Senior Alex Wesbrooks took down Michigan State's Anthony Pero 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Andre' Steinbach edged out Michigan State's Kazuki Matsuno 6-4, 7-5.

The tournament will continue Saturday morning.
