Kouijzer Selected for Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Senior Game

The University of Louisville's Julie Kouijzer has been selected for the 2022 Victory Sports Tours National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior Game. Â

She will join a select group of 38 senior student-athletes who have the opportunity to represent their teams on the field in the Division I Senior Game which will take place on Saturday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. ET, at the University of Connecticut in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship in Storrs, Connecticut.

The defender from Amsterdam, The Netherlands is in the midst of a career-best season with six goals while directing the Cardinals' stalwart defense to five shutouts and a team goals against average of 0.91 which leads the Atlantic Coast Conference and stands fourth in the nation.

The 2021 NFHCA All-America and All-ACC honoree is a two-time All-West Region selection and has been named ACC Defensive Player of the Year six times in her career. She has started every game in her four-year career, helping Louisville to 23 shutouts.

Kouijzer has also tallied 12 goals and 11 assists to go along with her five defensive saves over the last four years. On Friday, her penalty corner goal with seven seconds left to play in regulation sent the game into overtime in the Cards' eventual win against No. 24 Duke last weekend. Three of her six goals this season have stood as game winners.
