LAST MEETING
Friday marks the second meeting between the two programs this season. Pedro Fonseca's late heroics to force extra time were not enough as Louisville fell to Virginia 2-1 on Oct. 9, 2020. While the Cardinals outshot their opponent 19-9 on the evening, it was a Virginia penalty kick in the second overtime that was the deciding factor.
CAMARA PROVING TO BE SCORING THREAT
Freshman Aboubacar Camara recorded a goal and an assist in six matches during the fall. However, he has been the top scoring threat for the Cardinals during the spring season.
Camara netted the opening goal at NC State, Louisville's second tally in the win over Syracuse, and then the first goal of the night at Wake Forest. All three goals for the freshman have come off assists from senior Elijah Amo.
