LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's soccer forward Aboubacar Camara is participating in the 2021 adidas MLS College Showcase this weekend in Cary, N.C.
The second edition of the event features 44 of the top collegiate players and is taking place in conjunction with the 2021 NCAA Men's College Cup. The three-day event provides technical staffs from every MLS club the opportunity to scout top collegiate prospects.
The 44 players will participate in a series of training sessions, testing, interviews and match play. The event allows MLS clubs to scout and interact with prospects without jeopardizing players' collegiate eligibility.
Camara turned in one of the top offensive seasons in Louisville history this fall, tallying 13 goals with two assists for 28 points. The 13 goals were tied for the third most in a single season in program history, while the 28 points were fifth most. Camara was the first Louisville player to score double digit goals since 2016 and was second in the ACC and 10th nationally in goals.
The forward was a First Team All-ACC selection and added All-South Region honors earlier this week.
Camara helped the Cardinals to a 10-7-1 overall record this season along with the program's first ACC Atlantic Division championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
