Plumb Earns Second Straight ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Louisville's Aimee Plumb was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week on October 26. This marks the second straight weekly honor for Plumb and the fifth for a Louisville player this season.

Plumb led the Cardinals to a pair of wins over the weekend with three goals – two of them game-winning scores in overtime. On Friday, Plumb notched a pair of goals as the Cardinals overcame an early deficit and went on to beat No. 10 North Carolina behind her goal with 10 seconds left in overtime. With the win, Louisville secured a share of the ACC regular season title for the second straight year.

On Sunday, Plumb registered the only goal of the game, breaking a scoreless tie with a penalty corner goal in the fourth minute of overtime.

Plumb is finishing the regular season on a strong note, having totaled six goals and one assist in the last four games with two of her scores serving as game-winners.

The Canterbury, Kent, England native stands second on the team with a career-high seven goals, three assists and 17 points on the season. Â

No. 5 UofL (15-2, 5-0 ACC) will wrap up the 2021 regular season on Friday when the Cardinals play host to No. 9 Syracuse (11-3, 4-1) for a 3 p.m. matchup at 3 p.m.
