LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville guard Darius Perry will transfer to another school to play his final collegiate basketball season.
"We appreciate Darius' contributions to the Louisville basketball program his first three years," said UofL Coach Chris Mack. "We wish him the best for his final year of college basketball as he will graduate in May."
"I love Louisville and regardless of where I go, I'll forever be a Card," said Perry. "I wish everyone repping Louisville the best."
A 6-2 junior from Marietta, Ga., Perry averaged 5.2 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds as a junior. He connected on 38.9 percent of his three-point goals, including 40.8 percent in ACC games this season (20-of-49). A starter in 26 games this season, he totaled 482 points and 183 assists in his three seasons.
He was honored on the 2020 All-ACC Academic Team, his third straight year to receive the recognition. He scored a career-high 19 points against Clemson on Jan. 25 and produced his only career double-double with 10 points, 12 assists and five rebounds against Youngstown State on Nov. 10.
