Louisville Hosts Virginia Tech in Fall Home Finale

Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's soccer team wraps up the home portion of its fall schedule against Virginia Tech on Friday at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will be televised on the ACC Network.
Friday is Senior Day for the Cardinals, who will be recognizing Lamine Conte, Emil Elveroth, Jake Gelnovatch and William Howard prior to the start of the match.

LAST TIME OUT
The Cardinals took a 4-1 loss against top-ranked Pitt last Friday at Lynn Stadium. Elijah Amo scored the lone goal for the Cardinals, who were playing their second match this fall against the No. 1 ranked team in the country.
SERIES HISTORY
The series between Louisville and Virginia dates back to 1980, but the two sides have only played four times this millenium. Virginia Tech leads the all-time series 9-5-3, but the Cardinals are 2-1-1 against the Hokies since joining the ACC.
LAST MEETING
Virginia Tech handed the Cardinals a 2-0 loss in the opening round of the ACC Championship last November, avenging a loss to the Cardinals earlier in the season. The Hokies scored twice in the final three minutes of the first half to secure the victory.
