Cardinals Roll Ball State 5-2

UofL wins doubles and four single slots for win
The University of Louisville women's tennis team took the doubles point and then four of six singles matches to beat Ball State Friday evening in Muncie. The Cardinals extended their winning streak to three with the 5-2 victory.

UofL put its first point on the board with the doubles win. The Cards secured their first win when Rhea Verma and Andre Di Palma took down Emma Peeler and Livia Lukacs 6-2 at the No. 1 slot. The point was clinched when Jelena Vujanic and Dina Chaika won 6-3 over Rebecca Herrington and Emily Desai.

Ball State answered back in singles, when BSU took the No. 6 slot to even the score at 1-1. UofL freshman Andrea Di Palma put the second Cardinal point up with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Herrington. Raven Neely rolled over Ball State's Jessica Braun 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 but Ball State answered with a win at No. 4, when Amy Kaplan beat Jelena Vujanic 6-4, 6-3. UofL's Diana Wong won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 to clinch the victory and Rhea Verma won at No. 2 in a 4-6, 6-2, 10-6 three set victory over Emma Peeler at No. 2.

The Cardinals return home to the Bass-Rudd this Sunday, Jan. 26 for a doubleheader with Southeast Missouri State at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
