Softball Opens 2020 Season at NFCA Leadoff Classic Presented by Rawlings

Cards will take on Baylor, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas State in Clearwater, Fla. Feb. 7-9
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville softball team will open the 2020 season at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I Leadoff Classic presented by Rawlings as announced by the NFCA today.
The Cardinals will take on 2019 NCAA participants Missouri and Ole Miss, along with Baylor, Mississippi State and Texas State in their opening weekend Feb. 7-9 at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla.

In 2019, The team amassed a 35-23 overall record and a 12-12 mark in ACC play for a third place finish in the league's Atlantic Division and fifth in the overall conference standings. The Cardinals achieved several milestones in head coach Holly Aprile's first season at the helm, highlighted by the 14th NCAA appearance and sixth regional final as the Cardinals completed their 20th year as a program.
