
Louisville to Play at Ohio State in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

The Cardinals and Buckeyes will square off on Thursday, Dec. 5.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – It was announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference that Louisville women's basketball will travel to play at Ohio State on Thursday, Dec. 5 in the 2019 ACC/Big Ten Women's Basketball Challenge. The game will be played at 8 p.m. ET and air on the Big Ten Network.

The annual challenge, which is scheduled to continue through the 2026-27 season, offers 14 high-quality matchups for the sixth consecutive season.
It will mark the third ever meeting between the Cardinals and the Buckeyes. The two teams last met on Nov. 12, 2017 at Nationwide Arena when Louisville defeated Ohio State 95-90 in double overtime led by Asia Durr's 47 points.
Last season, Louisville downed Nebraska 85-68 at the KFC Yum! Center in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Cards went 2-0 against Big Ten teams a year ago after beating Michigan, 71-50, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The win over Nebraska also helped the ACC to an 8-6 victory over the Big Ten in the 2018 ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The ACC is 9-0-3 with an 89-61 overall record in the challenge.

Louisville is 4-1 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge (2018 – Louisville 85, Nebraska 68 – at UofL; 2017 – Louisville 72, Indiana 59 - at IU; 2016 - Maryland 78, Louisville 72 - at UofL; 2015 - Louisville 85, Michigan State 78 - at MSU; 2014 - Louisville 86, Iowa 52 - at UofL).
Last season, the Cardinals produced a second consecutive 30-win season with a 32-4 record and won their second straight ACC regular season title. They entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed for the second straight year and advanced to the Elite Eight for the fifth time in program history.
Ohio State posted a 14-15 mark last season, including a 10-8 record in league play.
Louisville leads the all-time series against Ohio State, 2-0.
All Big Ten home games in this year's Challenge will appear on either BTN, ESPN, ESPN2 or BTN Plus, while ACC home games will be broadcast on either ACC Network, ESPN, ESPN2 or ACC Network Extra.
