One game after setting a career high with 19 points, Dwayne Sutton poured in 17 on Monday.
- Sutton surpassed 400 points for his career at Louisville in the win, needing just 13 entering the night.
- Sutton also reached 800 points for his collegiate career including his freshman season at UNC Asheville.
- Sutton led the Cardinals with nine rebounds, crossing the 300-mark at UofL with 305 in his Louisville career.
Ryan McMahon had his second-best scoring effort of the year with 17 points in the victory.
- McMahon matched a career high with four three-pointers made and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
- McMahon had a personal 9-0 run midway through the second half that extended Louisville's lead from three (41-38) to 12 (50-38).
- Following a VT three-pointer, McMahon added another of his own to complete a stretch where he scored 12 straight points for the Cardinals.
Christen Cunningham continued his strong work at the point guard position with six assists and just one turnover.

Jordan Nwora reached double figures for the 21^st time in 23 contests with 15 points on Monday night.
