SERIES NOTES
- Despite the loss, Louisville leads the all-time series with Syracuse 18-10, with a 4-6 mark in Syracuse.
- Louisville is 3-3 against Syracuse as members of the ACC.
- Louisville's 49 points against the Orange is the lowest scoring output of the season. It is the lowest scoring game since the Cardinals lost 68-46 at Virginia on March 5, 2016.
- The Cardinals shot 83.3 percent (15-18) from the free-throw line, the ninth time this season that they were better than 80.0 percent from the charity stripe. The 83.3 mark was fifth best this season.
- V.J. King's blocked shot late in the first half extended Louisville's streak of consecutive games with a block to 296.Â
- Syracuse became the 51st opponent that the Cardinals have held under 40 percent shooting in the last four years
- The Cardinals have limited an opponent to under 40 percent accuracy for a half on 25 occasions this season, including holding Syracuse to .379 in the first half and .393 in the second half.
- The Cardinals pulled down 10 offensive rebounds against the Orange. Louisville has pulled down 10 or more rebounds off the offensive glass 16 times this season, including 12 of the last 17 games.
- Louisville's 69-49 loss at Syracuse is its first 20-point loss to an unranked team since a 90-59 loss at Providence on Jan. 10, 2012.
- Jordan Nwora reached double figures for the 25th  time in 27 games, finishing with 11 points on Wednesday night against the Orange.
