- The Cardinals dropped to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the ACC.
- The Cardinals fell to 3-10 all-time against the Hurricanes, including a 0-6-1 mark in Miami.
- Louisville finished with 14 penalties for 121 yards, both of which were season highs.
- The Cardinals rushed for 168 yards, the third-most Miami has allowed this season. The Hurricanes entered the day allowing just 111 yards per game on the year.
- Louisville completed 18-of-29 passes for 328 yards, its second-best output of the season in completions and passing yards.
- The 328 yards were the most allowed by Miami in 2019. Louisville's 496 total yards were also the most given up by the Hurricanes this season.
PLAYER NOTES
- Keion Wakefield made his first career start at wide receiver.
- Offensive tackle Mekhi Becton extended his streak of consecutive starts to 22. He left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.
- The 80-yard touchdown pass from Micale Cunningham to Tutu Atwell was the longest pass completion since a 92-yard pass from Adam Froman to Scott Long versus Southern Mississippi on Oct. 10, 2009.
- Cunningam tossed a career long 80-yard touchdown pass to Tutu Atwell in the first quarter. It was the longest play since Cunningham hit Atwell with a 77-yard touchdown pass against Virginia.
- The 80-yard touchdown pass was the sixth completion of 50 or more yards this season for Cunningham, five going for touchdowns.
- It was Cunningham's fourth multiple touchdown game this season and his career.
- Cunningham concluded the game going 12-for-18 for 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns, with a rushing touchdown as well.
- Atwell caught six passes for 142 yards, the fourth 100-yard game this season and the fifth of his career.
- The four 100-yard receiving games are tied for the ninth most in school history.
- Atwell's 80-yard touchdown reception was the fourth play of 50 or more yards by Atwell this season.
- Hassan Hall finished with a season-best 79 rushing yards, including a career-long 58-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
- Ean Pfiefer caught his first career pass, which ended as a 6-yard touchdown strike in the second quarter.
- Javian Hawkins rushed 15 times for 91 yards to give him 978 rushing yards on the season.
- Dayna Kinnaird registered his first sack of his career in the third quarter.
