TEAM NOTES
- The Cardinals finished the regular season at 7-5 and 5-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
- With the loss, Kentucky extends its lead in the overall series to 17-15.
- The Cardinals had won the four previous visits to Lexington.
- Louisville opened the game with a 9-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a 33-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tutu Atwell. It was the fifth time overall and the second-straight time that Louisville scored a touchdown on its opening possession.
- Saturday's loss was the first this season when Louisville scored first.
- The Cardinals have rushed for over 100 yards on 11 of 12 games this season.
- The Louisville defense allowed 521 rushing yards in the loss to UK. It marks the third time the Cardinals have allowed 500 or more rushing yards in a game in program history.
Offensive PLAYER NOTES
- Tutu Atwell tied the school record for touchdown receptions in a season with 12, equaling Ibn Green (1998) and Devante Parker (2013). It was Atwell's fifth consecutive game with a receiving touchdown, which ties him for the second-longest streak in school history. (Ronnie Ghent (2001-02) and Deion Branch (2000-01)).
- Tutu Atwell passes Mark Clayton for seventh place on Louisville's single-season list for receiving yards with 1,129 yards.
- With a first quarter touchdown pass, Micale Cunningham has tossed a touchdown pass for the fifth straight game and has thrown 13 in his last five games. He closes the regular season with a career-best 20 touchdown throws.
- Cunningham finished the game 6-of-11 for 78 yards and a touchdown. He closed the year with 1,786 yards passing.
- RB Javian Hawkins had his seventh 100-yard rushing game this season, tied with Bilal Powell (2010), Frank Moreau (1999), and Walter Peacock (1973) for third-most in a season behind Lamar Jackson (10 in 2017, 8 in 2016).
- Hawkins ended the regular season with 1,420 yards, which places him fourth on the school's single-season list.
- Hawkins moves into the top 10 on Louisville's single-season list for rushing attempts with 241, tied with Anthony Sherman (1994) for eighth.
Defensive PLAYER NOTES
- Safety Isaiah Hayes made his first Louisville start at safety and registered a career-best six tackles.
- G.G. Robinson was credited with a season-high five tackles, matching his career high done previously against Indiana State in 2018.
