Redshirt freshman Eden Mayo describes Wednesday's OKC event which took place at the Ralph Wrigth Natatorium
Redshirt freshman Eden Mayo Recaps OKC Challenge as the University of Louisville softball team completed day two of the annual intra-squad competition which pits the Red Squad against the Black Squad. The Red Squad currently carries a 393-376 edge in the five-day event.

"On day two of the OKC challenge we competed in another individual event. This time, the competition took place at the Ralph Wright Natatorium where my teammates and I competed in a 100-yard swim. This was a timed-event and the results were ranked in order of time of finish which determined the amount of points your squad would receive.
Â
We arrived at the natatorium around 5:40 a.m. and received our challenge of the day along with instructions needed. After the challenge was given, we had the chance to meet with our team to strategize and stretch.
Â
With one person from each team in the water, you had one hand and one foot on the wall. From there, you competed, pushing your body to its limits while facing other obstacles such as knowing how to control your breathing and pushing yourself when your body is fatigued. While in the water, you can hear your teammates giving you all the support in the world and motivating you to do your best. That support gives you the adrenaline and drive to finish as strong as you can for your team.
Â
With this strong performance from everyone during day two, my team and I are more than ready to carry this into tomorrow with the same momentum!"
