Louisville Set for Purdue Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team will continue fall action this weekend when the Cards travel to West Lafayette, Indiana for the Purdue Invitational.

"I'm looking forward to this tournament," said UofL head coach Rodrigo da Silva, who is in his first season at the helm. "Two weeks ago when we competed in our first fall tournament, I had just arrived on campus and we barely knew each other. For the past 10 days, we have trained and become more familiar and I am eager to see them compete again."

Junior transfer Tin Chen, sophomores Sergio Hernandez and Fabien Salle and freshman Matthew Fung will represent the Cardinals in the weekend tournament which will start Friday and end Sunday. The format will consist of singles and doubles flights with players from 19 schools including; Army, Ball State, Butler, Cardinal Stritch, Cleveland State, DePaul, Illinois State, IUPUI, Louisville, Marquette, MTSU, Niagara, Olivet, Purdue, Purdue NW, Toledo, Valparaiso, Wright State and Xavier.
