- Louisville and Bellarmine have met 10 times in exhibition contests, including each of the last six seasons, with the Cardinals winning all 10. The Cardinals are 22-0 in all contests against the Knights (12-0 in regular season).
- Louisville has won 37 straight exhibition games, a span stretching the last 18 years (since 2001).
TEAM NOTES
- Louisville's starting five on Tuesday featured junior Darius Perry, redshirt-senior Ryan McMahon, junior Jordan Nwora, freshman Samuell Williamson and redshirt-senior Dwayne Sutton.
- The Cardinals were 13-of-15 (86.7 percent) from the free throw line in Tuesday's win. UofL was one of the top teams in the country from the charity stripe in 2018-19, shooting 77.7 percent as a team.
- Louisville held Bellarmine to 65 points on Tuesday. The Cardinals are 359-55 when holding their opponent below 70 points over the last 18 years, including a 13-4 mark last season.
- UofL held Bellarmine without a field goal over the final 4:33 of the contest, scoring nine of the game's final 10 points.
- Louisville won the battle on the glass 40-26 over Bellarmine. UofL was 17-7 when outrebounding the opposition last year.
- The Cardinals grabbed 15 offensive rebounds leading to 17 second chance points. Louisville had double-digit offensive boards in 18 games one year ago.
PLAYER NOTES
- Jordan Nwora finished with a game-high 28 points on Tuesday night. Nwora, the Cardinals' leading scorer at 17.0 points per game last season, had 13 games with at least 20 points during his sophomore campaign.
- Nwora hit five 3-pointers in the victory, which matched his career high.
- Dwayne Sutton tallied a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. The redshirt-senior has five career double-doubles, four of which came during the 2018-19 season. Sutton's career highs in regular season play are 19 points and 11 rebounds.
- Samuell Williamson, the lone freshman in the starting lineup, ended the night with 17 points and nine rebounds. The McDonald's All-American was Louisville's highest-ranked recruit in the 2019 signing class.
- Darius Perry was the fourth Cardinals player in double figures on Tuesday, adding 10 points. Perry had five double-digit scoring efforts as a sophomore.
- Nwora, Sutton, Williamson and Perry combined for 73 of the Cardinals' 75 points in the victory.
