Student-athletes were paired with women who were working in their desired career fields
The Cardinal Athletic Fund and LCARE hosted a Women of Influence event on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Â
Student-athletes were paired with professional women with roles in their desired career fields to offer in-depth conversations and tailored advice for success. Areas represented included; athletics administration, sales, nursing, physical therapy, education, medicine, marketing, broadcast journalism and others.
Â
The Women of Influence group was founded to connect powerful women in the community to female student athletes and coaches to provide mentoring/networking/professional development opportunities. The next event will be held in February and feature Primp Style Lounge Owner, Shannon Kessler. Shannon will help students transform a college wardrobe into office-appropriate attire.
