LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 4 University of Louisville women's basketball plays at Wake Forest (9-8, 0-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET.

Louisville's (16-1, 4-1) 48-point win (W, 91-43) over Virginia on Thursday marked its biggest margin of victory in ACC history. The previous record was a 42-point win (W, 71-33) vs. Clemson on Jan. 28, 2016. They also held Virginia to just one free throw (1-4) which marked the fewest amount of free throws allowed since Clemson had just one free throw in that same game (1-6).

The Cardinals utilized a 31-9 second quarter to turn a 15-14 lead into a 46-20 lead at halftime. Ultimately, after leading 15-14 with 9:46 to go in the second quarter, they went on a 50-10 run to lead 65-24 with 3:28 to go in the third. They then outscored the Cavs 25-10 in the third en route to a ACC record 48-point route.

UofL shot a season-high 57 percent vs. UVA after failing to reach 50 percent in the previous five games.

Asia Durr is 7-17 (.412) from deep in her last two games after shooting 7-47 (.149) in the previous six games

UofL ranks 12th in the country and second in the ACC in scoring offense with 82.0 points per game. They have scored 100-plus three times, 90-plus six times, 80-plus nine times and 70-plus in 14 of 17 games. They scored 70-plus in 13 of the first 14 games. After missing 70 points in the previous two games, UofL exploded for 91 points vs. UVA.

After being outrebounded in the last three games, including being outrebounded by 16 (48-32) at Notre Dame and by 14 (46-32) vs. Georgia Tech, Louisville outrebounded Virginia by 15 (42-27). They pulled down just four offensive rebounds and had just two second chance points vs. Georgia Tech, but improved that by pulling down 14 offensive boards and scoring 21 second chance points vs. Virginia. The 21 second chance points is the most since they had 29 vs. UT Martin on 12/4.

After holding UVA to 43 points, UofL's scoring defense improved from 64.3 to 61.9 and moved from 182 to 112 nationally.

Following the loss at Notre Dame, UofL is looking to avoid its first two-game ACC road losing streak since they lost two straight at Notre Dame on Feb. 23, 2015 (L, 68-52) and at Virginia on March 1, 2015 (L, 75-59).

Wake Forest enters Sunday's matchup with a 9-8 record. They are 0-4 in the ACC and have lost their last four games. They are one of four teams winless in the ACC (Virginia Tech, Pitt, Duke). Three of their four ACC losses have been by 15 or more points. They lost 65-64 at home against Boston College for their lone ACC loss by less than 15.
