Cards fall 4-1 to Virginia Tech
The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-1 to Virginia Tech on Wednesday afternoon at the 2018Â ACCÂ Women's Tennis Championship in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The Cardinals dropped the doubles match on court one as Caroline Daxhelet and Natalie Novotna paired up to defeat No. 46-ranked Abbie Pahz and Mariana Humberg 6-4. The Cardinals won at No. 3 doubles, when Raven Neely and Maya Smith beat Sarah Baron and Katherine Butler 6-4 to tie, leaving the point to be decided at the No. 2 slot.
UofL's Sena Suswam and Ariana Rodriguez fell 6-4 to Tech's Nika Kozar and Nina Sorkin dispatched, 6-4, to give the Hokies the 1-0 lead heading into singles.
