Swiss standout signs with Cards

University of Louisville men's tennis coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Fabien Salle has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for the Cardinals.

"Fabien is a very serious tennis player and wants to try to be a professional after finishing at Louisville," said Ecarma. "He competes a lot which is important for preparation for our level of play. He knows about the details of college tennis more than the normal international player and is looking forward to starting. He has a technically sound game and can play in all parts of the court. Due to his competition experience, he will not be intimidated by ACC competitors."

The native of Geneva, Switzerland carries a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Junior ranking of 13 after collecting several qualification round wins in ITF Pro Futures tournaments. Salle recently advanced to the singles semifinals of the SEB Outdoor Open in Sweden and was a doubles quarterfinalist in the F37 Pro-Futures in Cuevas Del Almanzora, Spain.
