Women's Golf Second at Anuenue Spring Break Classic Following First Round

The Cardinals have three golfers in the top 10 through the first 18 holes.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Three University of Louisville women's golfers are in the top 10 on Monday, leading the Cardinals to second at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic following the first round of play in Kapalua, Hawaii.
The Cardinals, who shot an 8-over-par 296, head into the second day trailing tournament-host Hawaii by six strokes.
Lauren Hartlage paced the Cardinals with her 15th round even or below par and is tied for third. The sophomore fired a 1-under-par 71, aided by three birdies that all came on the back nine. Hartlage started the day with par on eight-consecutive holes.
Kristin Engle narrowly missed shooting par at the Kapalua Golf Club Bay Course, totaling a 1-over-par 73. The freshman is tied for seventh and logged 13 pars on the day. She overcame a triple bogey on No. 5 and finished the last 13 holes at 2-under par.
Olivia Cason rounded out the Cardinals' top-three scores, shooting a 2-over-par 74. The junior moved into a seven-way tie for 10th in large part to four birdies, including one on her final hole of the day at No. 18.
The Cardinals' received their fourth score from Molly Skapik, who recorded a 4-over-par 78. The senior is tied for 39th.
Louisville, which plays the second of three rounds on Tuesday, is paired with Hawaii, Oregon State, and Santa Clara. The four teams start on No. 1 at 2:45 p.m. ET.
