Cards Pick up Three Wins at Bobby Bayliss Invitational

Filho, Mizrahi and Wesbrooks win in singles on day two of Notre Dame's Bobby Bayliss Invitational

The University of Louisville men's tennis team picked up three wins on day two of Notre Dame's Bobby Bayliss Invitational Saturday.

"It was another highly competitive day at Notre Dame," said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "These guys are improving daily and all four of them played better today than yesterday. It's turning into a very physical weekend here and we are going to have to dig deep tomorrow to finish strong. This guys will be ready for it and I believe we will be the strongest team on Sunday."

Freshman David Mizrahi defeated Western Michigan's Jack Randall 6-4, 6-3 while fellow freshman Alex Wesbrooks picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory against Ivan Rakic. Junior Clement Filho rounded out the Cardinals' wins with a 6-0, 6-1 decision against Western Michigan's Eric Olivarez.

The tournament will conclude on Sunday with doubles matches starting at 8 a.m.
