
Asia Durr to Attend Women’s Basketball National Media Day on Wednesday

Durr is one of seven players invited to media day on the campus of ESPN.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's basketball senior guard Asia Durr is one of seven collegiate players selected to participate in the Women's Basketball National Media Day on Wednesday, an event hosted by the NCAA and ESPN.
This marks the second straight season that Durr has been invited to Women's Basketball National Media Day.
Durr's schedule includes a one-on-one sit-down with ESPN analyst Rebecca Lobo and ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe, a session with NCAA and ESPN social media platforms, a press conference with national media, an appearance on the Around the Rim podcast and a session with espnW.
She will be joined by Kalani Brown (Baylor), Chennedy Carter (Texas A&M), Sabrina Ionescu (Oregon), Arike Ogunbowale (Notre Dame), Katie Lou Samuelson (UConn), Teaira McCowan (Mississippi State), Geno Auriemma (UConn), Muffet McGraw (Notre Dame) and Vic Schaefer (Mississippi State).

Last week, Durr was named to the preseason All-ACC Team.
As a junior, she was named ACC Player of the Year after leading Louisville to a sweep of ACC regular season and tournament titles. She finished the year averaging 18.7 points, while knocking down 115 3-pointers, which ranked 13th in the country, and shooting 41.5 percent from beyond the arc.
In addition, she was named Lexington Regional Most Outstanding Player after averaging a team-high 17.5 points and 4.5 assists, while adding 4.3 rebounds and shooting 10-28 from beyond the arc.
At the conclusion of the season, she was named WBCA First Team All-American, joining Angel McCoughtry as the second player in program history to earn that honor. She was also named a USBWA, Associated Press and USA Today First Team All-American.
She enters her senior season with 1,743 career points, which ranks sixth in school history and 278 made 3-point field goals, which ranks second.
